Rice is the main ingredient in any meal in Jharkhand while, pulses and vegetables add immense value to it. Bread is normally eaten with pulses and vegetables for dinner in Jharkhand. The tribal population, make their own local brew Hanria, which is made of rice.
Initially tribes of this region were more into hunting of wild animals, but nowadays most of them are into agriculture and hunting is limited to a very small segment of this population. |
