West Bengal

Flora And Fauna

West Bengal houses some of the most exotic and rare species of flora and fauna. Mahogany and sal (Shorea robusta) are huge timber-producing trees that grow in plenty in the state.

The Dooars area is famous for its verdant forests and tea gardens while the forests of Sunderbans are the natural habitat of the Royal Bengal Tiger.
