Location

It is situated on the western coast of the Indian Peninsula. The history of the state goes back to 200 BC. The state is bound by Pakistan and Rajasthan in the north and northeast, Maharashtra in the south, Madhya Pradesh in the southeast and the Arabian Sea in the west.
