Meghalaya

Introduction

Meghalaya is a picturesque but tiny state in the northeastern region of India. As the state remained cut off from majority India for a long time due to some ethnic problems, it has been able to survive the ambush of inane commercialization that is present in other famous tourist centers of India.

As the name suggests, the state receives heavy rainfall and two of the world’s wettest places are located in Meghalaya. Being full of vibrant cultures, traditions, great scenic beauty, tranquility are other attractions, the state has the capability of pulling in many tourists annually.
