Physical Features

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are a group of 572 islands formed by an underwater mountain range. It separates the Bay of Bengal from the Andaman Sea. The islands have a maximum altitude of 730 metres at Saddle Peak which are formed mainly of sandstone, limestone and clay.
