Haryana

Introduction

The small state of Haryana is spread over an area of over 44,000 square kilometers. It was founded in 1966 when the state of Punjab was divided into Haryana and the new Punjab. It is both, the oldest and most modern place.

Most tourists who come to India pass through Haryana, the state that surrounds Delhi, (the capital of the country), on three sides. As tourists drive through, they get the views of neat and abundant green fields, and a number of modern complexes and industrial estates. For those who want to relax for some time during the journey, there also are numerous roadside resorts which accommodate the tourists who feel the need to re-cooperate. Haryana also has other places of enjoyment.
